The pair, who were also with the boy’s mother and sister, then plunged more than 50ft over the cliff edge as they attempted to get away.
Local media reports suggest the family had angered the bears as they attended to a dead baby bear they discovered on the mountain.
The Hurriyet Daily News reports their bodies were discovered at the bottom of the cliff face by authorities called to the scene.
Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority and the National Medical Recovery Team confirmed the pair were pronounced dead at the scene.
The mother and 13-year-old sister were both taken to hospital with minor injuries and are both in a stable condition.
The incident took place yesterday as the family celebrated the Eid al-Fitr Muslim holiday.
