There are a ton of people out there who love the taste of pork. However, most of them wouldn’t expect to see an entire pig on a grocery store meat shelf.

A Twitter user in Japan recently posted a photo of a shrink-wrapped little piglet. The pig was reportedly on sale in a supermarket.

Although the name of the business isn’t mentioned, the price label on the packaging and the surrounding food items for sale make it appear as though the pig was indeed resting on a store display.

The dead animal was in a section all on its own. It’s unclear if this was a one-time, first come first serve type of offer or if there were other plastic wrapped pigs that sold out.

The price on the piglet is listed at a little under $300. The responses from social media users have ranged from shock to desire, as some pork lovers were left wondering where they could purchase one of their own.

What do you think of a store offering an entire wrapped piglet, have you ever seen anything like it?
