The US support of Israel encourages terrorist organisations such as ISIS, an analyst told Press TV

American political analyst Richard Forer has said that he believes the US government to be “cultivating the seeds of terrorism” by giving Israel unconditional support which, in turn, allows groups such as ISIS to thrive.

Speaking with Press TV, Forer noted that US Vice President Joe Biden’s vow to protect Israel at all costs, and his “deep and personal” friendship with Netanyahu means that America is aligning itself with ethnic cleansing policies and abuse of international law.

Presstv.com reports:

“If the United States is really a great friend to Israel, instead of supporting Israel and enabling Israel’s occupation and its brutality against Palestinians and its ethnic cleansing and theft of lands and its daily nonstop abuse of international law, it should admonish Israel, it should act like a true friend,” Forer said.

Forer, the author of Breakthrough: Transforming Fear into Compassion, said it was “sadistic” that Washington is enabling Israeli crimes and warned that its current policies would backfire.

The US “is making it possible for Israel to become a pariah in the world, for violence to continue, for aggression to continue, [and] for no peace to ever take place,” he explained.

“This is just typical US policy that has been going on for decades, in which they close their eyes to the suffering of an entire people and instead of promoting democracy in the region they promote anti-democratic means and brutal oppression,” he noted.

Biden’s visit to Israel comes amid surging tensions in the occupied territories following Israel’s imposition in August 2015 of restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers into the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in East al-Quds (Jerusalem).

On Wednesday, Israeli military forces shot and killed three Palestinians over alleged shooting and stabbing attacks across the Old City of al-Quds as well as the Israeli-occupied West Bank, raising the number of Palestinians killed since last October to about 200.
