U.S. Agrees To Give Israel $38 Billion In Military Aid

Record new U.S. military aid deal for Israel will be signed in days

The US and Israel have reached their final agreement on a record new package of at least $38 billion in US military aid over a 10 year period.

The deal, the biggest pledge of US military assistance to another country in history, is expected to be signed within days and follows months of negotiations.

Press TV reports:

Tense and lengthy negotiations over the new military deal have highlighted continuing tensions between US President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the nuclear agreement with Iran last year.

The officials said Netanyahu has granted major concessions. He has agreed not to seek additional funds from Congress beyond what will be guaranteed annually in the new package.

The new agreement also prevents Israel from spending part of its American aid on its own weapons industry instead of on US-made arms.

The deal requires at least $3.8 billion in annual aid, up from $3.1 billion per year under the current pact, which expires in 2018. Israel had originally requested at least $4.5 billion a year.

The new package will include money for Israeli missile systems, which until now has been funded separately by Congress. American lawmakers have given Israel about $600 million in annual funds for this purpose in recent years.

Israel is the largest cumulative recipient of US foreign assistance since World War II. America’s military assistance to Israel has amounted to $124.3 billion since it began in 1962, according to a recent congressional report.

  1. Now i know where my tax $ is going to. We hear about tensions between US President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and next Obama gives our hard earned money to Israel. Am I missing something here ?

  2. WTH? Who said that this is acceptable? What happened to our Government being to, of, and by the People? How many Americans agree to this money being given like we don’t need it here? I think our Government has gone rogue and forgotten it’s purpose for being, or, they just don’t give a damn what we think…

  3. There is a lawsuit trying to get this crap stopped. Why do we give them money and who is Netanyahu to get up in front of our Congress and ask for money unbelievable.

  4. Thank you Obama, now even more Palestinian blood is on our hands as a result of this evil empire under the iron fist of the most psychopathic element of extreme Zionism under Likud. The twisting of the knife here is that because the US must borrow this money from the Federal Reserve Board which is controlled by Israeli Rothschild banking, we get to pay interest on the money we just borrowed to give to Israel. The bastard make interest money off of the money we are giving them!

  6. $38Billion in Military Aid… a percentage to kill Plastination children, another some to plan how to sabotage Muslims and Muslim countries, this way US always agrees all heartedly to give hand to anybody if asked. Other countries too can try this strategy with US.

  7. Would you give money to a known killer so he could buy weapons at his will. Then why do we give Israel 38 billion dollars at their discretion to spend on Military.

  8. Health care in Israel is universal and participation in a medical insurance plan is compulsory. All Israeli citizens are entitled to basic health care as a fundamental right. The Israeli healthcare system is based on the National Health Insurance Law of 1995, which mandates all citizens resident in the country to join one of four official health insurance organizations which are run as not-for-profit organizations, and are prohibited by law from denying any Israeli citizen membership. Israelis can increase their medical coverage and improve their options by purchasing private health insurance.[1] In a survey of 48 countries in 2013, Israel’s health system was ranked fourth in the world in terms of efficiency, and in 2014 it ranked seventh out of 51.[2] In 2015, Israel was ranked sixth-healthiest country in the world by Bloomberg rankings[3] and ranked eighth in terms of life expectancy.
