Trump Jr: Democrat Party Today Similar To Nazis In 1930’s Germany

Trump Jr. compares modern Democrat party to 1930's Nazi party

Donald Trump Jr. has upset liberals by comparing today’s Democratic Party to the Nazis back in 1930s Germany.

President Trump’s eldest son made the comparison at a screening of conservative commentator Dinesh D’Souza’s new documentary in Washington DC on Wednesday night.

“You see the Nazi platform from the early 1930s… and you look at it compared to the DNC platform of today, you’re saying, ‘Man, those things are awfully similar’ to a point where it’s actually scary,” he told OANN.

“To me that was one of the most striking things I took from the movie because it’s the exact opposite that you’ve been told.”

Dailymail.co.uk reports: Trump Jr attended the screening of ‘Death of a Nation: Can We Save America a Second Time?’ with his new girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle.

The documentary draws comparisons between President Trump and Abraham Lincoln. It references how Democrats didn’t accept President Lincoln’s reelection in 1865.

A poster for the documentary shows Trump and Lincoln’s faces merged together.

The film, which has been slammed by some critics for ‘stretching the truth’ and portraying ‘historical inaccuracies’, advertises itself as an ‘examination of fascism and racism’.

Trump Jr said at the screening that Democrats are unfairly labeling the right as fascists and Nazis.

‘I’ve been out hearing the left talking about all these things… fascism, Nazism on the right. When you look at the actual history of how these things evolved, and when you actually look at that platform versus the platform of the modern left, you say, ‘Wait a minute, those two are really heavily aligned and frankly contrary to the right’, he said.

‘It’s more about having real history… when people talk about these things, you can’t dispute it because someone told you about it in a history class when academia and everything has been so wrongly influenced by the left.

‘When you look at the movie, you’ll see that there is a very distinct and clear difference between what actually happened and what is being sold to our youth today.’

Trump Jr took to Twitter on Thursday, saying: ‘So the left spends the last 3 years falsely calling my entire family NAZI’s, but the second I point out the similarities between the economic platform of the National Socialists and the Democrat Party, they scream bloody murder.’

D’Souza, the man behind the documentary, was pardoned by Trump in May after pleading guilty to illegal campaign contributions.

He pleaded guilty in 2014 to funneling the campaign contributions to Wendy Long, his college classmate. She was running against Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand in 2012 for Hillary Clinton’s old New York Senate seat.
