Belgium’s Tihange nuclear power plant has been evacuated the public broadcaster VTM reported without giving further details.
The power plant is located in Huy in the Belgian province of Liege about an hour away from the capital Brussels where at least 34 people were killed today in explosions at the airport and metro

Tihange could not immediately be reached for comment.
“The police have evacuated the Tihange nuclear station,” VTM said, citing police sources.
Non essential staff have reportedly been evacuated from the site but key staff remain and operations are continuing, according to the Independent.ie
The Express reported that two power plants had been cleared amid heightened fears of another attack.:
Security has been stepped up at both Doel power plant in Antwerp which houses four reactors, and Tihange, which houses three.
