Police are investigating the death of a 45-year-old theme park technician whose body was found inside the Phantom Manor haunted house in Frontierland at Disneyland Park in Disneyland Paris.

They confirmed they are investigating the death of a male technician in the Phantom Manor attraction.
It is believed the 45-year-old man was electrocuted while working in the attraction, which features ghosts and other ghoulish themes, and resembles the house out of the 1960 cinematic classic “Psycho.”

A spokesman for the prosecutor in nearby Meaux said the man, who has not been identified, was working on lighting in the attraction when he died.
An autopsy has not yet been performed, but initial investigations point toward death by accidental electrocution.
“An investigation is ongoing,” the spokesman said, adding that police and electrical experts were assisting with the inquiry.
Police have also interviewed colleagues who found the man’s body.
Patrick Maldidier, a staff union representative at Disneyland Paris, said the man, who had worked at the park for over a decade, was hugely popular with colleagues and was “always smiling.”
A Disneyland spokesman said management was “deeply saddened” by the man’s death, and that the company’s thoughts are with “family and relatives.”
The attraction is closed as police investigations continue.
