A Russian website has claimed that the current immigration crisis in Europe was orchestrated from within the US and UK, via a secret Twitter operation. 

According to a Russian group of analysts who analysed internet traffic, large spikes in social media just before the crisis began, prompted thousands of people to migrate to the EU.

The content of the tweets encouraged people to travel to the EU, where tens of thousands of these tweets were tweeted and retweeted by bots, from servers within the USA and UK, and were very quickly deleted shortly thereafter.
