River in Israel Turns Red As Waterways Around The World Fulfill Biblical End Times Prophecy

A river in Israel has become the latest waterway to turn red “like the Bible’s plague of blood in Egypt”, shocking local observers, scientists and Biblical scholars.

Reports of rivers, rain and bodies of water turning red all over the world have shocked Biblical scholars who warn the phenomenon is a sign we have reached the end times as prophesied in the Book of Revelations.

One photographer described the reddened Nahal Alexander river as looking “like the Bible’s plague of blood in Egypt”.

The Alexander River runs the width of Israel, from the hills of the Nablus on the West Bank to the sea. The river is loved for its wildlife and beauty but in recent weeks, it has been polluted with blood-filled water.

For weeks now, several Israeli media have been publishing photos of the red, blood-filled water.

Blood, feathers and other animal body parts are pouring out of slaughterhouses “from one or more Palestinian slaughterhouses in the northern West Bank city of Tulkarem”, reports the Times of Israel.

A river in Israel has turned blood-red prompting Biblical scholars to suggest the end times have arrived.

Rivers in China, Russia, Lebanon, and the Netherlands, as well as bodies of water in the United States, Australia and Sri Lanka, have all turned blood red recently, as reported by local news outlets, in some cases leaving scientists and experts baffled.

The Molchanka River in the city of Tyumen, Russia, turned red overnight, leaving locals concerned about the quality of their drinking water – and also concerned we have entered the end times.

A spokesman for state watchdog Rosprirodnadzor said “we have no assumptions as to what it could be. We have never dealt with this before so we are waiting for the results of tests.”
The river had been blood red color for around a week.

Officials in western Siberia have not yet released the results of samples taken from the river, but state-owned news agency Itar-Tass has labelled the incident a “Biblical bombshell”.

And it’s not just Russia and Israel. In Nootdorp, the Netherlands, a canal turned a deep red, leaving locals puzzled. The phenomenon has prompted locals to recall Biblical prophecies of water turning to blood.

It looks like red wine,” remarked Nootdorp resident Mark Ruder to the Netherlands’ Telstar Online. “It is probably an algae,” Ruder speculated, “but in our region that just does not happen.

David Dilling, an American living in the Netherlands who captured the odd phenomenon on video, however, described the canal water as turning a “blood-red, biblical color.”

Biblical scholars claim that scientific explanations for the phenomenon are of secondary importance to the fact that God said water would turn red at the beginning of the end times. These scholars point to water-to-blood prophecies found in the Old Testament’s Book of Revelation, which explain that rivers running red is one of the signs the end times are upon us.

Australia’s famous Bondi Beach also turned blood red recently. Dubbed “Crimson Tide” by the local media, the event startled Sydney residents who had never seen anything like it before.

Sydney’s popular Bondi Beach has also turned red.

And the Beirut River in Lebanon also mysteriously turned blood red after a stream of unidentified red liquid began pouring from the southern bank of the river in Furn al-Shubbak, according to Lebanon’s Daily Star.

Authorities have yet to determine the source of the substance causing the red color.

The Jian River that runs through the city of Luoyang, Henan province in northern China, turned bloody red,” CNN reported.

Local media started receiving panicky phone calls from citizens on Tuesday morning saying that the water of the Jian River near their neighborhood has become blood-like overnight.

And in Texas a fishing lake turned red, sparking end times speculation from Christians – and even from scientists.

The red lake in Texas sparked talk of biblical prophecy even from science magazines such as Live Science. There, a headline questioned, “End Times? Texas Lake Turns Blood-Red.”

Pastor Paul Begley of the Community Gospel Baptist Church in Knox, Ind., said people should be sitting up and paying attention.

I’m not saying that this Texas lake is these Scriptures in Revelation, but what I am saying is the Bible prophecies are slowly fulfilling themselves in the midst of an end time revelation – that we need to be right, we need to be saved, we need to be born again and ready to meet the coming King,” he said.

God said there would be a rain of blood. Keep in mind, there will be physical and scientific reasons for things, just like the earthquake God used to make the walls of Jericho fall. Let us keep in mind God said what would happen, not necessarily how!”

Is Pastor Begley right? There is more and more evidence he might be. And Sri Lanka recently experienced a “rain of blood.” According to Sri Lanka’s Daily News:

Rare showers of red rain fell for over 15 minutes in Sewanagala, Monaragala and Manampitiya, Polonnaruwa yesterday morning hours of yesterday and day before yesterday. According to Meteorology Department sources, red rain fell heavily in these areas and the reason has not been found yet. Red rain in Sewanagala and Manampitiya left red frost on the ground. This is the first time red rain was witnessed in Sri Lanka.

The red rain in Sri Lanka and parts of southern India reportedly stained clothes pink.
Red rain captured in a bucket in Sri Lanka.

What does the Bible actually say about rivers and bodies of water turning red?

The water-to-blood prophecies are found in the book of Revelation. The second trumpet judgment will bring a great calamity upon the earth:

The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned into blood, a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.” (Revelation 8:8–9).

In Revelation 16:3, during the tribulation, God will turn the waters of the sea to blood:

The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it turned into blood like that of a dead person, and every living thing in the sea died.

Then in verses 4–6 God does the same to the world’s fresh water supply:

The third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood. Then I heard the angel in charge of the waters say: ‘You are just in these judgments, O Holy One, you who are and who were; for they have shed the blood of your holy people and your prophets, and you have given them blood to drink as they deserve.’”

We also see that God’s two special witnesses during the tribulation will be empowered to perform miracles:

They have power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want” (Revelation 11:6). The two end-times prophets will have the same ability as Moses, who turned the Nile River to blood (Exodus 7:20).

What do you think? Do contemporary reports of rivers and water turning red match up with these end-times prophecies in the Book of Revelation?

  1. Yes it is what they deserve for their surrendering their free will and their independent thinking into submission to satan .Their cowardice and desire for materialism and their desire to conform to the mob rule ,to be well respected members of their community Rhe last time someone described somebody like that was in a pharmacy where the chemist had just handed over a bag full of prescriptions to s tal upright proud but sinister looking woman .She was so clearly evil beyond belief I had to say to him who was that ? He said” that’s well respected member of our community” She was Catherine Birnie ,psychopathic serial rapist torturer and murderer.

  2. A day in the Lord’s terms is many scholars agree ,an age in our terms An age being the movement of our solar system through the galaxy, or 1260 years, and so a couple of days is a long time .Also the Bible doesnt make vagaries If it says the seas shall be red it doesnt mean the oceans .We have the Caspian Sea ,the Black sea, the Dead Sea and the Red sea.Maybe the Dead Sea really isnt a sea anymore .

  3. I don’t think they match up. According to Father Charles Arminjon (1824-1855), the two witnesses appear during the time of the antichrist. “These two witnesses will be two strange men, appearing suddenly amidst the world, without anyone being able to say of what birth or origin they are, nor from what place or what family they have come.” One is Enoch, great-great grandfather of Noah, and the other is Elijah. Before that happens, “the good news of the Kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world as a witness to all the nations…” He believes this means that “there will not be a single barbarian shore, not one island lost in the ocean or any place, at present unknown, in the two hemispheres, where the gospel has not shone in all its splendor.” He goes on to say that, “One need only glance at a map to recognize that the gospel law is far from having been promulgated to all peoples, and that innumerable multitudes at the present time remain sunk in darkness, and do not possess the slightest shadow of revealed truth.” I read this section recently from a book called “The End of the Present World and the Mysteries of the Future Life.”

    • He was wrong as John the Baptist was Elijah. It says in Luke that he will go forth in the power and spirit of Elijah to prepare the way of the lord, echoing the prophecy of Isaiah. Given that he is wrong there as it’s plainly written, why should we take his interpretations of symbolic scripture seriously?

  4. The author of this article is very misinformed. The book of The Revelation is the last book of the NEW Testament, not in the Old Testament. Nor does it say that waters will turn to blood at the beginning of the End Times, (Revelation 6:1,2, “beginning of sorrows”) but nearing the end, in Revelation 16. The photos are very eerie, nonetheless.
