Putin says that Russia will seek revenge on the Bastille Day terrorists

President Putin has said that Russia is ready to work with France in order to seek revenge against the terrorists who committed the Bastille Day attacks in Nice.

Putin has urged world leaders to join his fight against extremists, saying that “terrorists only understand force, and we must use it”.

Dailystar.co.uk reports:

The Kremlin have said they are ready to work with France on all anti-terrorist operations following the awful attack which left at least 84 people dead.

Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, a 31-year-old Tunisian father-of-three living in Nice, drove a lorry through the crowds watching the Bastille Day fireworks along the Nice seafront.

ISIS have reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack, and witnesses said the man was shouting “Allahu Akbar”.

Vladimir Putin called for humanity to unite in order to defeat terrorism and sent a personal telegram to French President Francois Hollande.

Speaking at the Asia Europe Meeting in Monogolia, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said: “Terrorism has no boundaries and is a common threat both for Europe and Asia. As of now, there are 80 victims including children, a large number of tourists.

“According to media reports there are EU and Russian citizens among the victims.

“We must find answers to such challengers, to show solidarity, to take to show solidarity, to do everything we can to fight against terrorism.

“Especially since terrorists and their sponsors only understand force, and we must use it.”

The Kremlin has already been launching heavy strikes against ISIS in Syria and Iraq.

Earlier this month jihadis downed a Russian chopper, prompting a furious response from the Kremlin who launched a crushing long range bombing raid.

There have been reports the Nice attack was in response for the killing of ISIS commander Omar the Chechen.

France has pledged to deploy more forces to the Middle East in the wake of the attack, joiningRussia’s promise to send their biggest warship to crush the caliphate.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said: “The mass killing in Nice is a thriller that came true. Condolences to the relatives of those killed, words of support to those injured and especially those, who are currently on the verge of life and death.”

She also urged the world to fight together against threats.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: “President Putin sent a telegram to his French counterpart President Hollande, in which he expressed deep condolences after this inhumane, barbaric terrorist attack.”
