
Pope Francis has said that he expects his his time as Pope to be “brief” in a recent interview.
He said that he expects his time at the Vatican to last another two or three years, saying “I have a feeling my pontificate will be brief … It is a vague feeling I have that the Lord chose me for a short mission. I am always open to that possibility.”

His predecessor Benedict XVI controversially resigned as Pope – which is the first time that has ever happened in 700-years.
Francis has denied rumours that he is to step down.
