A man from Salford, Manchester had a shock when he received his passport containing a picture of the German Fuhrer Adolf Hitler.
Stuart Boyd applied to renew his passport ahead of a planned 50th birthday holiday.
He was “distraught” to find a photo of himself resembling the German Nazi leader Adolf Hitler in the new passport.

A design error was to blame for the transformation and the passport was sent back to be renewed free of charge by the passport office.
Huffington Post reports:
“I was really angry when I saw it,” Boyd told the Manchester Evening News. “I was distraught, really. I just thought, ‘Oh, for God’s sake, I have to have this for 10 years and they can’t even get it right. I wasn’t really sure of the process of how to change it so I posted a picture of it on Facebook.
“My friends and colleagues think it’s hilarious.”
Boyd decided to raise the issue with the Passport Office, who said they would replace the document for free.
“All UK passports are carefully created and checked to exacting standards before they are issued,” a representative told MEN.
“However, in this instance Mr Boyd’s passport will be replaced free of charge.”
