MSNBC censor footage of reporter confronting Bill Clinton over rape claims

An MSNBC news report edited out footage of a Daily Caller reporter confronting Bill Clinton on Juanita Broaddrick’s claims that Clinton had raped her.

The Thursday afternoon broadcast featured the exchange between Bill Clinton and the reporter in its entirety during an earlier segment. Clinton was asked about Broaddrick in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, following a speech he gave in support of his wife’s presidential campaign.

Freebeacon.com reports:

The reporter, according to the Daily Caller, was its own Kerry Picket. In an article entitled “Bill Clinton Avoids Reporter’s Question About Reemergence of Juanita Broaddrick,” the Daily Caller posted the full video of the exchange that played on MSNBC at 2:29 ET. Clinton answered NBC reporter Kristen Welker’s questions, which did not mention Broaddrick, about the effect of his past on his wife’s campaign, but Clinton ignored Picket’s queries regarding Broaddrick.

However, when MSNBC re-aired Welker’s package in the following hour, Picket’s questions about Broaddrick are skipped over. Only Welker’s are shown. The same segment was repeated once again during the 4 p.m. hour, again without Picket’s questions.

It amounted to roughly 10 seconds in cut footage.

Broaddrick says she was raped by Bill Clinton in 1978, and she tweeted Wednesday that “Hillary tried to silence me.” Broaddrick’s name again came up during the campaign after Hillary Clinton stated that women who said they’ve been sexually assaulted should be believed. A New Hampshire voter asked her in December about whether a list of women, including Broaddrick, who have claimed abuse by her husband should be believed in that case.
