To the surprise of many, the comedian and television star Louis C.K. recently posted a series of comments on Twitter about Mars and the origins of life on Earth.

The tweets imply that the climate of Mars was destroyed and made uninhabitable by an ancient human race.

His ideas describe how Mars used to be inhabited by humanoid beings, and life forms on Earth actually came from Mars traveling on a moon that crashed.

One of the tweets says: “What was left turned into here and our moon and got seeded by marsian corpse DNA. And later we’ll use our moon to go back.”

He goes on to say that the entire solar system is actually a spaceship that will activate when the planets align, and the sun is an engine.

At the end of what has been referred to as a tweetstorm the comedian claims: “I’m not high.”

Throughout the messages, Louis C.K. reminds the readers that this is just what he thinks happened, and it’s not based on any scientific facts.

But part of his theory might not be that far off, according to biochemist Steven Benner, a certain building block of life called molybdenum might have come to Earth from Mars.
