
Judge Andrew Napolitano has said that the clock – which Texas schoolboy Ahmed Mohamed brought into school that subsequently got him suspended and questioned by police for looking like a “bomb” – may actually be a fake.
The clock, according to the Judge, is part of an existing 1980’s clock that Ahmed simply transplanted into a pencil box and made it look like his own creation.

The family have received thousands of dollars in donations and are planning on taking the school and police to court, and if the hoax story is true, they may be committing fraud.
Foxnews.com reports:
He added that if the parents were involved in a hoax, then this is a fraud case, since thousands of dollars have been donated to Mohamed through a legal fund and a scholarship fund.
“If this was part of a purposeful stunt and if the parents were involved in this and if everybody from Mark Zuckerberg to President Obama fell for this, this is not good,” Judge Napolitano said.
