One of the original members of The Jackson 5 and the brother of the late music legend Michael Jackson, has come out and criticized the U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump for mentioning his brother during his campaign.

The Donald who is currently leading the polls for the Republicans was interviewed in a CNN town-hall and discussed his relationship with Michael Jackson, saying that the superstar had lost all his confidence prior to his death due to botch surgery jobs.

Michael’s brother Jermaine Jackson, a superstar in his own right for his music and personality, told the billionaire businessman come political reality star, to keep away from his brother’s memory and legacy and stop name-dropping for the sake of advancing his political career.

TrumpTrump also name-dropped his favorite business franchises and hygienic eateries: Burger King, McDonald’s, Wendy’s and Kentucky Fried Chicken.

He told Anderson Cooper in the CNN interview that he was a good friend of Michael Jackson and new the man very well.

The Mirror reports:

The US presidential runner told the tale about the late pop star while being interviewed at the CNN Republican town hall in South Carolina.

Trump, 69, said about Jacko and Lisa-Marie’s 1994 honeymoon at the Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida: “I knew Michael Jackson very well. He lived in Trump Tower for a long period of time and would go down to Mar-a-Lago.

“He actually got married – you know, to Lisa Marie Presley – and had a big deal at Mar-a-Lago.

“He was up there one week with her, and he never came down, so I don’t know what was going on, but they got along.

“People say they didn’t get along but let me tell you they were there for a week and didn’t come down at all.”

Trump also spoke of how he knew “the real story” of Michael Jackson and claimed the singer died after he lost all self-esteem due to “bad, bad, bad surgery”.

He added: “Michael Jackson was actually a very good friend of mine.

“You know, when he died people would come on and talk about him – people who didn’t know him very well.”

Trump continued: “Because very few people got to know Michael Jackson but he was an unbelievably talented guy and he lost his confidence.

“He lost all his confidence. Honestly because of bad, bad, bad surgery. He had people that did numbers on him that was just unbelievable.

“And when you lose your confidence in something you can even lose your talent.”

Serial name-dropper Trump’s comments prompted Jacko’s brother Jermaine Jackson to fly into a fury yesterday.

Former Jackson 5 singer Jermaine, 61, vented on Twitter that Trump was a ‘fool’ who needed to ‘sit down’ when it came to talk of his brother.

He also accused Trump of name-dropping to try and win votes.

Jermaine tweeted: ‘Friends don’t pay tribute by peddling b.s. theories about Michael’s “loss in confidence”. This fool Trump needs to sit down.

‘Michael’s confidence was affected by the pressures, injustice and vitriol of external circumstances. Period.

‘Name-dropping Michael don’t make you cool and won’t win you votes. Especially when using botched facts.’

‘It’s “botched surgery” talk that I don’t expect from a friend.’

Usually very outspoken on Twitter, Trump has remained quiet on the social network since Jermaine’s outburst.

Jermaine isn’t the first musician Trump has irked on his campaign trail.

After he used her tracks Rolling In The Deep and Skyfall, Adele ’s publicist released a statement saying: ‘Adele has not given permission for her music to be used for any political campaigning.’

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler asked Trump to stop using the band’s classic Dream On at rallies, and Tyler’s attorney sent a cease-and-desist letter to the right-winger.

In the last week, Trump’s radical immigration policies, which include building a wall to keep people from crossing into the States from Mexico, led the pope to accuse him of “not being Christian”.Trump
