The military jet was reportedly operating near Ain Al-Asad air base which is run jointly by Iraq and the US.
The reports have been denied by the US Central Command who say there is no evidence that a warplane had been downed.
There is no truth to reports of ISIL downing a US aircraft near Anbar. All US & Coalition aircraft accounted for at this time @CJTFOIR

The claim by ISIS came just hours after the terror group claimed responsibility for an attack in Ansbach, Germany.
