The airport’s management said that the incident occurred at 2.20pm local time and appeared to have been caused by some sort of homemade explosive.

It added that the three injured have been taken to a hospital, but gave no further information about their condition.
It also said that flights in and out of the busy airport have not been disrupted.
In eyewitness accounts posted to Weibo, the blast was attributed to firecrackers being carried by a passenger, which exploded at a check-in counter.
State broadcaster CCTV said the incident happened at the airport’s Terminal 2, which has been cordoned off by police to facilitate investigations.
