A taxi driver was surprised when he found a Hawk waiting in his cab after it flew in through an open window during Hurricane Harvey on Friday.
The 45-year-old Houston cabbie decided to give the spooked, but extremely well behaved bird of prey a ride home, as Hurricane Harvey began its trail of destruction across the Lone Star State.
He later posted updates of their whirlwind encounter on YouTube.

Taxi driver William Bruso, a 45-year-old resident of Missouri City, Texas, was stunned to find a Cooper’s hawk cowering inside his cab after it flew in through an open window Friday.
The bird of prey, terrified by the low pressure and high winds, allowed Bruso to offer it a perch on one of his hands, which he gloved beforehand.
Bruso named the bird “Sgt. Hurricane Harvey.” He left a window open in case the bird wanted to fly off again. It did not.
A rep from the Texas Wildlife Rehabilitation Coalition of Houston finally dropped by Saturday to pick up Harvey.
“It was a very cool experience,” Bruso told The Post on Sunday. “I felt very honored that [the hawk] chose to hunker down with me — and was so well-behaved, better behaved than my cousins who come here and wreak havoc.”
“It was a magical experience. This is a bird of prey, a natural born killer in its normal environment. But this was not a normal situation.”

I wonder if this hawk had some contact with humans before this. I don’t know anything about hawks, but my only falconer friend had a Cooper’s hawk, so I know they’re kept by falconers.
