Chicago authorities release child rapist from police custody

Authorities in Chicago released a violent child rapist from custody due to a “technicality”, according to reports.

The family of the 11-year-old girl say they are shocked and horrified after they were told that the pedophile was not charged with any crime and was not under arrest.

The girl was dragged into an alley by a man while she was on her way home from school on Thursday at about 3:30 p.m. She was on South Indiana Avenue on what’s known as a “Safe Passage” route where there’s supposed to be a trusted adult to protect children.

Theblaze.com reports: She was able to escape and described the man to police, who circulated a sketch of the suspect.

The sketch was spread widely in the neighborhood so that on Monday when some people thought they saw a man who fit the description of the suspect, they chased him down and held him for the police.

At that time, they called the family of the girl on FaceTime and her mother got a screenshot of the suspect. It was shown to the girl and she reportedly said that she was sure it was the man who attacked her.

“She started shaking real bad, started crying, saying: ‘That’s him! That’s him!’ We had to hold her, because she was shaking real bad, so I knew she knew what she was talking about,” said the girl’s grandmother to WBBM-TV.

“She said she’ll never forget that face, ever,” she added.

But that act might have tainted the investigation.

The victim’s family says that police told them the photo identification isn’t the same as picking the suspect out of a lineup.

“The detective is working with the state’s attorney’s office and the family. We’re going to do whatever we can in order to build the case properly, but that’s obviously not a positive photo array,” said Chicago police Chief of Detectives Brendan Deenihan.

WBBM-TV legal analyst Irv Miller explained the problem.

“When a crime victim is shown one picture of an offender, that in and of itself is tainted. It’s called an unreliable identification. At the very minimum, they should see multiple pictures, multiple people in a lineup,” he said.

Miller went on to say that the man could be charged later on after a better legal case against him is established by police.

The family and their supporters are pressuring officials to move faster to charge the man. They also want to know where the Safe Passage workers were when the girl needed them most.

“Where were they when my grandbaby needed them? Where were they?” asked the girl’s grandmother.

  1. He’d only end up dead in prison anyways. Why wait? Whether he’s found dead in prison or found dead in the street is only a technicality.

    • Executing people like you would help save our children from ignorant people who can be led by sheep by a story printed by people based entirely on the fact an unknown little girl said he did it. 1 He didn’t do anything that we know of She says he grabbed her and she ran away That’s all That is all that SHE says he did. You DO NOT KNOW if she is from a house full of drug addicts, a prostutrvheroin addict mother with a pimp crack dealing dad and if she’s been working on the pedophile industry since she was 3 You don’t know anything so GROW UP and stop Reacting like an idiot, a thoughtless stupid hateful moron. Keep your mouth shut when you know nothing at all about the FACTS OF THE MATTER.

      • STFU nancy we believe all women and you are quite welcome to come down to FL and try and shut me up puss boi all you mamas bois are tough when your safe in mommies basement

  2. A hysterical child can be mistaken especially in certain situations where large cash payments are on offer In fact to be perfectly honest children can be thoroughly evil dishonest liars. And really good at it too. But she could be honest too We don’t know her or her family so we don’t know and shouldn’t be speculating on completely unknown people’s honesty.

  3. This is what rings warning bells to me “She started shaking real bad, started crying, saying: ‘That’s him! That’s him!’ We had to hold her, because she was shaking real bad, so I knew she knew what she was talking about,” said the girl’s grandmother to WBBM-TV.

“She said she’ll never forget that face, ever,” she added.
I don’t believe her. And fromt experience of life which is extensive I suspect she’s not a good woman. And whenever “gran mama” has to do the talking for mummy it’s usually because she’s the best con artist in the house.

    • If that girl gets him convicted, and with her story she needs no meducal evidence of any crime at all, not even a bruise let alone any genital inspection, nothing except her repeating he grabbed me and I ran away, and she can get, well here she would get at least 50,000 dollars compensation. That’s the minimum settlement agreed on by the legislation.

  4. Nuh, having time to think about that story for a bit now I would not be the least bit surprised if there isn’t an alement of maliciuous prosecution involved I’d want to know if either the little girls mum or dad or any of their associates have had any involvement with the accused. I would thorough investigation of that before any thing else. Any people with their speech patterns and thought processes are highly likely to be unreliable at best.
