
BREAKING NEWS: FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2014 11:25AM. According to multiple sources, “Two F-15 fighter jets were dispatched over the Atlantic Ocean on Friday to follow a plane that had stopped responding to radio calls and flew hundreds of miles off course.
The pilot was spotted “unconscious and slumped over” in the cockpit, U.S. officials told NBC News.

NORAD said on Twitter that the people on board might be suffering from or oxygen deprivation. The plane was flying at about 25,000 feet, the Federal Aviation Administration said. It was not immediately clear how many people were on the plane.
A map provided by FlightAware, a flight tracking service, put the plane over Cuba, hundreds of miles away from its intended landing point in Naples, Florida.
The Socata model TBM-700, took off just before 8:30 a.m. from Rochester, New York, according to FlightAware. The FAA said it stopped responding to radio calls about an hour and a half later.
NORAD said it was a “light business and utility aircraft.”
