A San Jose State University biology professor claims that chromosomes do not determine sex and has accused a Texas state legislator of being “bigoted” for suggesting there are only two genders.
“In case you forgot how many genders there are,” Republican State Representative Briscoe Cain tweeted on December 21, attaching a picture of the XX and XY chromosomes.
Campusreform.org reports: Describing herself as a geneticist, Rachael French replied to the tweet with an extended harangue in which she impugned Cain’s motives and derided his understanding of biology.

“Hey geneticist here. You’ve disingenuously and for bigoted purposes oversimplified a complex phenomenon,” she wrote. “A few notes: 1) Sex and gender aren’t the same thing. 2) Chromosomes don’t determine sex.”

“I know high school biology told you they do, but nope,” she continued in a separate tweet. “A single gene on the Y starts a cascade of events involving genes all over the genome to determine sex. If any of those things changes, surprise!”
French went on to differentiate between gender, which she describes as “a complex phenomenon arising from interactions between genes and the environment,” and sex, which “describes the physical manifestations” of that interaction.
“‘Gender’ describes the psychological and/or the emotional identity,” she elaborated, saying, “they’re regulated somewhat, though certainly not entirely, independently.”
“Finally, there are more than two sexes at the somatic level,” she concluded, pointing out that some individuals exhibit physical traits that are inconsistent with their chromosomal sex.
“Intersex and ambiguously sexed individuals arise at an appreciable frequency – on the order of 1%,” she asserted. “This is because physical sex is more hormonal, not chromosomal.”
-Chromosomal and somatic sex may not match. And we’re STILL not talking about gender. 3) Gender is a complex phenomenon arising from interactions between genes and environment. “Sex” describes the physical manifestations.

One user questioned French’s arguments, countering that saying “‘Sex and gender aren’t the same thing,’ isn’t at all a genetic statement. It’s a questionable sociological construct.”
French, however, refused to engage in that debate, citing her academic credentials as a means of dismissing the comment out of hand.
“One thing I am not doing is arguing with someone whose basic premise is incorrect and tries to tell me that they know more about my science, in which I am an expert, than I do,” she wrote.

In a separate tweet on December 24, French added that she teaches “this sex determination stuff” to roughly 200 people every year, and “the gender identity bit” to approximately 40, expressing satisfaction that her response to Cain’s tweet reached “at least five times as many in 24 hours.”
Cain has since made his Twitter account private, but told Campus Reform that the decision was unrelated to the exchange.
Campus Reform reached out to French for comment, but has not received a response.
“I’m an Expert, my Liberal University…. PCU, gave me a paper that says so!!!!”
Translated to common sense means: “I think, therfore I am….. or….. whatever!!!”
If you have a vagina you are a woman. If you have a pinus you are a man – all other feelings are just plain bulshit
2 Thessalonians 2:11-12 11 And for this cause God shall send
them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:12 That they all might be damned who
believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Dear Rachel French: you call yourself an expert? You are lying and you are wrong. My husband has been a biologist for over 40 yrs. He was an immunologist, microbiologist and virologist. He worked with a Nobel prize-winning scientist at her request. He has kept abreast of new discoveries in science, itis his life’s work. He says you are AN IDIOT WHO SHOULDN’T BE TELLING LIES. rachel, you obviously have an agenda and are probably not even a TRUE SCIENTIST. All you are doing is helping to make children even dumber than the NWO is already doing. You need to go hide your head in shame and quit making a fool of yourself.
It’s not just her unfortunately. There is currently a push with liberal universities to change sex from binary to a sliding scale of sorts. They are trying to normalize disorders. Having a physical manifestation of a female organ in a male doesn’t change the fact he is a male. The female manifestation is a genetic anomaly like having six toes. A female with low hormones and no breasts isn’t somehow not a female or less female for it. She has a disorder unfortunately. This push is for their LGTQ narrative. I will agree there is no such thing as settle science. The term settled science is an oxymoron.
Thank you Keysrat! Nice to know others know the truth as well. Agreed about no settled science!
she is probably getting paid lots of money from the Zionist freemasons for spreading this fake info, it’ so annoying….this is definitely an agenda.
This is another case of someone thinking they’re more intelligent than they actually are. In her opinion she knows everything and no one knows more than her. Wise people know they know nothing and are always learning. Something I have learned is that no matter the amount spent on an education you can’t fix stupid.
I love this tidbit she describes “Sex as the physical manifestation from the interactions of genes and the environment.” It’s quite hilarious if you’re a rational person. Imagine if someone’s environment played any role in what’s between your legs? Either interactions with others or climatic. We aren’t reptiles who’s sex changes with environmental temperatures.
She should be let go.
Yes, it is. You’re absolutely more stupid than you realize.
Unfortunately for Dr. French, specialization in genetics as her vocation, with psychology and sociology as only part-time avocations, does not qualify her as an expert in the expression of genotypes in phenotypes, much less phenotypes as realized within the complex cultures of Homo sapiens. I’d rather listen to astrophysicists prattle on about the probabilities of “the evolution of intelligent life equal or greater than our own” elsewhere in the universe, another example of so-called experts grasping at things they know little about, for their lack of biological, psychological and sociological training and understanding.
Meat/dairy/soy/BPA/chemicals/The Pill/fat may make a person estrogen dominant. Fix the estrogen dominance and the person will not be confused about their gender. Trying to make more genders is sad. People are unhealthy. Estrogen dominance may cause many health issues and cancer.
It seems the most loudly negative attitudes come from the so-called religious factions, who make anyone other than male or female considered as a sin or a mistake. God does not make mistakes, He give a test of love. If you can’t love His special human person you will answer for that in the “after life”. So beware people on what you do against special people.
