A young married couple had their one-day-old baby “confiscated” from them by social workers in Alabama because of their “conspiracy theories and Christian beliefs”.

They said our view was dangerous,” Christian Holm said of social workers for the Cleburne County, Alabama, Department of Human Resources, who labeled the couple “conspiracy theorists.

But Christian Holm says “We were just trying to follow the Bible as close as we could and speak for Jesus.

Christian said social workers opposed their religious beliefs about “man’s creation destroying God’s creation” and also had concerns that the couple didn’t want to give the baby a Social Security number, according to The Anniston Star.

Social workers called the police and together they left with the baby – refusing to tell the couple where they were taking it, The Star reported.

They took the baby, said, ‘He’s ours and this is the court date. Be there,’” Danielle told the newspaper.

But two months later the baby has not been returned to its parents and the Holm’s, described by those who know them as “very loving and caring people“, are still waiting for their day in court.

Off The Grid News reports that Holm and his wife, Danielle, have no house, gave away their possessions and decided to enjoy life by hiking and camping out. When the two wanted to see the country, they put their car in storage and walked from Alabama to New Hampshire and back.

They were camping out at Cheaha State Park in northeastern Alabama in October when Danielle went into labor. She went to the Regional Medical Center in Anniston, Ala., to give birth, and DHR social workers came to her room and started quizzing the couple about their lifestyle and where they lived.

Two months later the baby still has not been returned and the Holms are still waiting for their day in court. A hearing in the case had been scheduled for Dec. 20, but it was cancelled after Judge Melody Walker recused herself, The Star reported.

The Holms have attracted a group of supporters in Anniston who picketed the courthouse after the hearing was cancelled. Supporters have organized under the tagline “#freebabyholm.”

You can see when you talk to them directly that they are very loving and caring people,” Jonathan Payton, a friend and supporter of the Holms, told The Star. “That’s what really hit home.

Christine Holm posted on Facebook Jan. 15 that the couple is getting a single two-hour visit a week with the baby.

They say well you can have another ISP and arrange more visits,” he wrote. “What? Another organized coercion and conversion meeting just to have more visits? This is nothing but psychological control tactics to force submission at the expense of our little baby boy. Where is his so-called attorney to protect his rights?”

On social media, the public is divided.

The Indians did it hundreds of years ago and had plenty more than we do now these days, why couldn’t they [also do it?],” one woman named Sherry wrote.

But others argued that modern society is different.

The Indians lived in groups and took care of each other, food and shelter,” a man named Vince wrote. “The couple needs a plan to take care of this baby, it can’t live like they do, it needs special care, shots and meds. … Moving from place to place, out in the weather isn’t the best for anyone.”

  1. they will use any old excuse to steal children from their parents for child trafficking and Satanic rituals. These are very dangerous times for people with children.

    • Murderers see kids less often. They win if you do that. They are hoping you do it. Would give them more “powers”

  2. Amish , Mennonites and others in this country live without Big Brother Govt. intrusions The STATE is guilty once again of over reaching the Constitution . …And as mos tare beginning to be exposed to the Lying Govt. more and more facts are uncovering what just until recently was considered ” Conspiracy theories ” …!

    • The Amish, Mennonites, and others don’t wander around the country begging for handouts and living in tents behind wherever they can find. They, as a general whole, do not hear voices that are telling them they are a prophet. They have food and clothes for their children. They have land to live on. They work on that land to live. Comparing these losers to the Amish and Mennonites is despicable.

  3. Any child care agency will take children away from the parents if they, the children, do not have a bed to sleep in. Been that way as long as I can remember.

    • Actually, this agency had many employees who donated items necessary for the baby in anticipation of them getting him back at the 72 hour mark but they fought tooth and nail to not get their kid back. They refused to allow CPS to see the trailer they were allegedly renting. The community rallied together and donated money and items to them. Someone even donated a trailer to them. They did not want that baby back.

  4. They want to march around talking about how the government doesn’t have the right to tell them what to do with their bodies? These kids are doing nothing wrong, they just choose an alternative lifestyle one that has worked for thousands of years, nothing at all wrong with it…..as long as that child has food, shelter, clothing, access to medical care…..there should be no problems.

    • And it didn’t have food, shelter, clothing, or access to medical care. The father is an unmedicated schizophrenic who hears voices.

      • You might want to do an honest research into vaccines and schizophrenia and depression, anxiety, hyperactivity, autism, reduced intelligence. You’ve been brainwashed. We have liberty in this country and are free to choose what we will and will not do. This baby wasn’t in any danger just because the parents chose a different lifestyle at least for a time. The child belongs to the parents, NOT the govmt or anyone else. May God protect this little one and all the others in this crazy world.

        • If your God was so great he wouldn’t have made you a freakin lunatic! That baby was in absolute 100% danger in the elements with mentally ill parents who refused to get help. Vaccines are not responsible for anything OTHER than the decline of deadly illnessss. Take your nutter theories to your echo chamber filled with other lunatics that dropped out of high school.

          • Also mommy and daddy have been on the streets attempting to purchase illegal prescription pills but yeah tell us again how delusional you are.

  5. Kid needs a decent home
    There’s more to this story
All you wackos who have a knee jerk opinion
The child should not be with homeless
    Bums
Give the kid to someone who gives a crap about it these people are lazy bums
And not mature enough to care for a kid
Are all you who are replying this is ok stoners from California

  6. Baby is safe and free from these vultures! Which, they couldn’t even be bothered to remember the date of the TPR hearing so they didn’t go or they chose not to go, either way, the date was on all their previous paperwork so that is on them. They only cared about their cause and not that baby. They did everything to not get that child back. The father IS schizophrenic and not taking his medication but instead is abusing a medication that makes his condition worse. The recording of their pre- TPR hearings are all on YouTube under the account “Baby Holm”. These recordings will give you a great insight into their mental states. At the end of the hearing, the judge had to recuse herself because dumb and dumber filed a suit against her and so they went through all that for nothing to have to start over again adding the months on to the time needed for CPS to TPR. By the way, on a several occasions they just up and left the state and stopped visiting their son like he was just a toy to play with when they wanted to or better yet, a cause to leach on when they wanted attention. They are NOT mentally stable people. They should not have children in their care. As a matter of fact, Christian already gave up custody of his first son because his opiate addiction at the time was more important than his child. He claims to hear voices. They claim to be prophets sent by the creator and that the creator is speaking through him. They compared themselves to Mary and Jesus on many occasions. They also said in the hospital that their child could not go into the nursery because there is evil out there and they did not want him exposed to it and contaminated. When CPS took him, they considered him contaminated and did not want him back but wanted everyone to donate to their cause.
