In an apparent murder-suicide, a JPMorgan Chase employee and his wife were discovered dead in their Closter home on Friday.
According to authorities, Iran Pars Tabacchi, was found dead on February 6th from strangulation and a single stab wound to her chest. Iran’s husband, 27-year-old Michael Tabacchi died of a self-inflicted stab wound to the chest.

Authorities know the details of how a young JPMorgan associate and his wife died in an apparent murder-suicide, but police, relatives and shocked neighbors are all mystified about why Michael Tabacchi would kill his wife and himself Friday night, leaving a 15-month-old whom everyone said they both adored.
After autopsies, Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli said Sunday on Twitter that Tabacchi, 27, had strangled and stabbed his wife, Iran Pars Tabacchi, 41, then stabbed himself in the chest.
We believe that the husband killed the wife but do not know what prompted all of it,” Molinelli said in an email.Molinelli had said Saturday that the stabbings took place around 11 p.m. Friday. The couple were discovered with their young son, who was unharmed, in their home at 595 High St., Molinelli had said.
Michael Tabacchi worked for J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. in Manhattan since 2009 and is one of a growing number of bankers who have died in unusual circumstances.
